More than 40 trade shows are organised by Messe Düsseldorf, among these are 23 world‘s premier trade fairs. This means that early one fifth of all the world‘s premier trade shows take place in Düsseldorf.

More than half the exhibitors coming to us are foreigners – in terms of visitors nearly one third come from abroad. At the same time, nearly 40% of the consolidated sales are generated abroad, predominantly in Russia, the Czech Republic and in China.

Ehrenhof

In 1947 the North West German Exhibition Company (Nord West Deutsche Ausstellungsgesellschaft mbH  - NOWEA) was founded in Düsseldorf, with initially 4,800 square metres of exhibition space at  Ehrenhof. Being the first trade fair after WWII, the German Press Exhibition “Deutsche Presseausstellung“  attracted 207,000 visitors to Düsseldorf. 60 years later Messe Düsseldorf is among the 10 trade fair organisers posting the highest turnover worldwide.
