On completing his vocational training in the trade of cabinetmaker, Wilfried E. Moog studied civil engineering at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. He then worked for a number of years as a structural engineer at an engineering firm. In another change of direction, he studied architecture at Darmstadt University of Technology – the springboard to managing his own engineering and architecture studio for several years.
After receiving training to become a public official from the state government of Rhineland Palatinate, Wilfried E. Moog entered government service as head of the constructing and planning department, firstly for the Koblenz local government with his mandate subsequently extended to include the district of Mayen-Koblenz.
In 1984, the father of 3 children assumed management of the planning authority in the federal state capital of Düsseldorf. In 1990, Wilfried E. Moog was appointed Managing Director of the Technical Division at Messe Düsseldorf. He has overseen infrastructure, facility management and event services ever since.
From 1985, Wilfried E. Moog has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian city planners and architects professional association. Furthermore, he is an accredited expert for sound and heat insulation as well as inspecting fire protection measures.
