Date: 30.01.2002 Many German athletes have fond memories of the successful Deutsches Haus in Sydney and the positive spirit that filled it. Messe Duesseldorf, which operated the house on behalf of Germany's National Olympic Committee (NOC) and Deutsche SportMarketing GmbH (DSM), welcomed 11,000 guests ¾ including athletes and representatives from business, politics and the media. This successful cooperation among NOC, DSM and Messe Duesseldorf will be continued with the coming Winter Games in Salt Lake City (2002) and the Summer Olympics in Athens (2004). The cooperation focuses on the establishment and management of a "Deutsches Haus" at both events. Messe Duesseldorf contributes decades of experience and know-how in organising German participations in international events. In turn, it is the only trade fair company to receive the rights to use the world-famous Olympic ring logo in its corporate communications.
