The third Integration.Life.Society. in Moscow, Russia, took place with over 120 exhibitors from 8 countries and a net rented space of almost 4.000,00 square meters. The international trade and event fair for people with disabilities was held at the Moscow Expocenter Krasnaja Presnja from 25 to 27 April. More than 3,580 trade visitors as well as people with disabilities and their family members spent three trade fair days gathering targeted information on aids and care concepts, participating in expert events and actively co-shaping the event’s cultural and sports programme.

It works with public, private and civil society organisations to develop awareness, collaboration, knowledge and effective solutions to achieve a global change in perceptions and practices.

Messe Düsseldorf Group closed the 2012 business year with a 2.1% increase in sales, reaching a total of EUR 381 million (2011: EUR 373 million). The Group was also again able to increase its annual consolidated profit after taxes, to EUR 40.6 million (2011: EUR 39 million). Werner M. Dornscheidt, President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, is satisfied with the result, which he views as a validation of the Group’s strategy. “While 2012 happened to be a year with a large number of events, the Euro crisis and subdued development in the emerging countries did strain the global economy. Considering this background, our Group result is even more remarkable. It proves that our trade fairs are important partners to industry.”

With 14 events in 13 weeks, the first quarter of 2013 was extremely eventful for Messe Düsseldorf. In addition to the company‘s own major fairs such as boot or ProWein, four guest events were also held at the exhibition centre; each year there are ten to fifteen events, which are not organised by Messe Düsseldorf itself. “Many of the trade fairs and conferences staged by our guest organisers are a thematic complement to the classic areas of competence and expertise at the Düsseldorf location. In this connection for example, the pharmaceutical trade fair EXPOPHARM rounds off the medicine and health theme sector. As a result, the organisers not only benefit from the optimum conditions at the exhibition centre, but also from the sector-specific know-how and wealth of experience of our staff”, explains Werner M. Dornscheidt, President and CEO Messe Düsseldorf.

Messe Düsseldorf GmbH as the organiser of the world’s leading trade fair drupa and the Chinese association PEIAC (Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China) will provide tomorrow’s topic of Functional Printing with a dedicated platform: the 1-day conference Functional Printing China with accompanying table-top presentations will be held for the first time on 16 May in parallel with China Print, the trade fair for printing technology running in Beijing from 14 to 18 May 2013. The new series of events is planned to be held annually and will be extended to include an exhibition area from 2014.

With 410 exhibitors from 21 countries occupying 4,704 square metres of net exhibition space the 19th MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2013 – International Exhibition and Conference, India’s No. 1 Trade Fair for Hospitals, Health Centres and Clinics – opened on a buoyant note and drew to a very successful close on 10 March 2013 with a total of some 7,600 trade visitors.
