The current level of infection and the associated international lockdown restrictions make a resumption of trade fair operations in mid-June appear increasingly unrealistic. Messe Düsseldorf has re-evaluated the situation in consultation with associations and partners and decided to cancel the glasstec which was scheduled to take place from 15 to 18 June 2021. The priority is the health of Messe Düsseldorf’s exhibitors, visitors and service providers and providing them with planning certainty. Especially as a result of the travel restrictions, glasstec with its high percentage of international exhibitors and visitors would not be able to live up to its standing as the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry.
Messe Düsseldorf has already cancelled all of its events at the Düsseldorf site until April 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. In total, the following trade fairs are affected in the 1st half of 2021:
interpack and components (25.02.-03.03)
Energy Storage Europe (16.-18.03.)
boot (17.-25.04.; original date: 23.-30.01.)
TOP HAIR (29.-30.05.)
The affected B2B trade fairs will be held in line with their usual cycles.
Messe Düsseldorf is still putting all its efforts into resuming operations at the Düsseldorf site as quickly as possible. The next planned Messe Düsseldorf event is the CARAVAN SALON from August 27 to September 5, 2021. Messe Düsseldorf has already shown with the CARAVAN SALON 2020: successful trade fairs are possible even in Covid-19 times, with the greatest possible protection for all concerned. Last year, the CARAVAN SALON was the first major German trade fair to take place after the lockdown in the spring. The hygiene and infection protection concept of Messe Düsseldorf was successfully applied. You can find all information on this at: https://www.messe-duesseldorf.de/corona.
