REHACARE INTERNATIONAL 2025 ended with an impressive finale. More than 34,000 visitors from 88 countries gathered information from over 800 exhibitors from 40 nations about innovations and solutions for self-determined living. With these figures, the world’s leading trade fair for rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion, and care once again underscored its role as a key platform for inclusive innovations and social change.
Particularly visible were the advances in digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI): digital care assistance systems, telemedicine applications, care robots, smart care beds, and many other innovations highlighted the enormous potential to sustainably revolutionize rehabilitation and care. They promise improved patient care, greater efficiency, and enhanced quality of life.
REHACARE, a sounding board and Marketing Platform
“REHACARE is much more than a trade fair – it is a sounding board for dialogue, innovation, and social change, with people at its very center,” emphasizes Marius Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Messe Düsseldorf. “With over 800 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, a broad supporting program, and a strong community, it becomes clear: REHACARE INTERNATIONAL is an enabler and platform for inclusive innovations. It actively shapes the future of inclusion and self-determination and is, at the same time, a vibrant place for exchange” ¸ he continues.
“For start-ups like Incontalert, REHACARE is the central platform to make valuable contacts. The trade fair offers us a unique opportunity to present our innovations while building strategic partnerships for the future,” explains Nico Koplanov, Incontalert.
“For us, REHACARE is the fair to present our latest products. The major launch we were able to showcase here marks an important milestone in our international sales strategy,” says Mela Ikanovic, Deputy Managing Director and Vice President International Sales, Lifeward.
Voices from the Community
Strong resonance was generated by contributions from activists such as Raul Krauthausen, Sabrina Lorenz, Moritz Brückner, Katareha, Sina Schachel, as well as Ayleen Walter. Their personal experiences inspired many visitors and made the diversity of perspectives tangible.
REHACARE is also an important meeting point for the medical supply trade. At the special industry day organized by GesundheitsProfi, experts discussed current developments in the medical supply store market, questions of market consolidation, and the role of artificial intelligence.
Sport as a Highlight
Sports added special highlights to the trade fair: The Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (BRSNW) thrilled visitors with a diverse hands-on program – from table tennis to para skiing – and at the same time celebrated its 40th trade fair anniversary, a milestone that impressively underscores its close bond with REHACARE.
Program – Future Topics in Focus
The accompanying forum program set important impulses for exchange between science, politics, associations, and practice. In the IFK Forum Medical Supply Market, Dr. Susanne Eichholz-Klein examined current challenges of the industry. Together with Techniker Krankenkasse, the future of care was discussed, while BVMed presented practical concepts for modern medical aid provision. The focus on assistive technology – in cooperation with the Sozialstiftung NRW – showed how digital solutions and innovative technologies can simplify the everyday lives of people with disabilities and promote real self-determination.
