Messe Düsseldorf Awards New Catering Contract: Sustainable, Modern, Healthy
Düsseldorf Congress Also Changing Provider in 2026
Updating their food and beverage options, Messe Düsseldorf and Düsseldorf Congress will, starting on January 1, 2026, put the focus on gastronomic concepts that blend responsibility, enjoyment and variety. The catering contract was awarded to two leading providers: Starting in 2026, SV (Deutschland) GmbH will be providing culinary delights to guests at the Exhibition Center site, including in the expo halls, while lemonpie Eventcatering GmbH will take over catering at the Congress Center Düsseldorf (CCD).
Düsseldorf, February 27, 2025. The decision to realign the culinary offerings at Messe Düsseldorf and Düsseldorf Congress comes in response to growing demands for varied nutrition and the conscious use of resources. “Our international guests have become more discerning when it comes to quality, variety, and sustainability.” says Bernhard J. Stempfle, Managing Director of Finance and Infrastructure at Messe Düsseldorf.
SV (Deutschland) GmbH submitted a comprehensive and forward-looking concept centered on seasonal products and creative dishes. “We want to treat trade show guests to food choices that combine freshness, enjoyment and responsibility,” emphasizes Jörg Rutschke, the CEO of SV (Deutschland) GmbH.
Culinary Variety for Guests from Around the World Having been guided by the needs of an international audience, this catering realignment reflects the aspiration of creating a range of gastronomic offerings for guests from around the world that fuses variety, authenticity and quality.
That’s why both SV (Deutschland) GmbH and lemonpie Eventcatering GmbH are embracing diverse concepts that serve not just fresh and sustainable dishes but also country-specific options. As a result, Messe Düsseldorf meets the needs of its international exhibitors and attendees while at the same time creating a space for culinary experiences with originality.
Optimized Infrastructure and Flexible Catering Options By realigning its catering arrangement, Messe Düsseldorf is also strengthening the food and beverage options available to exhibiting companies. In addition to the possibility of commissioning their own food service providers, starting in 2026 they’ll have access to the new catering partners’ comprehensive portfolios. The new infrastructure will also be expanded in the medium term to include additional services, such as a central beverage delivery service.
This upgrade also significantly enhances catering options for expo booths, as exhibitors will be able to benefit from tailor-made solutions and a modern infrastructure.
