New Innovative Trade Show Format: USE to Debut in Düsseldorf in 2027

Düsseldorf, March 6, 2025. The welding and cutting industry is finding a new home at Messe Düsseldorf – with a dynamic trade show format the industry’s been waiting for. “The Ultimate World of Cutting and Welding – Urban Steel Expo” (USE) redefines the classic trade show format by merging technology, business, creativity and community into one industry event.

Industry leaders such as Kemper, Filtershop, Microstep, Accurl Europe, Weldas, Sinto Agtos, Optrel, Kuka, Cloos, EWM, Jasic, ESAB, Siegmund, OTC, Kjellberg and Abicor-Binzel have already confirmed their participation in the premiere at the Messe Düsseldorf Exhibition Center. Subsequently, USE will take place every four years, enriching the company’s portfolio of industrial trade shows.

Some 44 Düsseldorf trade shows around the globe are currently dedicated to metalworking in various dimensions – including seven leading trade fairs in Düsseldorf: wire, Tube, VALVE WORLD EXPO, the trade show quartet “The Bright World of Metals” (GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST), and, from 2027, USE for the welding and cutting sector.

New Paths for Messe Düsseldorf
Wolfram N. USR: Urban Steel Rockstars – The Event in the Event
Messe Düsseldorf will be supported by the industry event experts from MingleMakers, who already made a splash in the welding and steel industry with the annual Urban Steel Rockstars (USR) convention. Centered on communication, brands and experiences, USR will be integrated into USE in the future. A special USR highlight are the master classes, in which leading industry experts impart valuable know-how and bring current trends to life interactively. USR is thus creating a modern platform that combines traditional trade show approaches with innovative communication elements. In the same way, MingleMakers will also endow USE with a unique event dimension. “The cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf enables us to take USR to a new level by jointly establishing a holistic format for a new world-leading trade show.
