EuroShop 2020, The World's No. 1 Retail Trade Fair, came to a successful close on 20 February 2020. As usual, every three years, EuroCIS was one of eight experience dimensions within EuroShop as the Retail Technology dimension.
Next year EuroCIS, The Leading Trade Fair for Retail Technology, will again be held as a stand-alone event in Düsseldorf. However, due to current developments around the coronavirus / Covid-19, the originally planned date - from 23 to 25 February 2021 to 16 to 18 March 2021 - has been postponed.
Since the health of exhibitors, visitors and employees is a top priority, Messe Düsseldorf has decided to postpone its own events in the first half of 2020 after EuroShop due to the coronavirus / Covid-19. Some of these will be made up for in the first half of 2021, so that due to the tight schedule EuroCIS 2021 will be held on a new date with a new hall constellation.
EuroCIS 2021 will therefore take place from 16 to 18 March and occupy Halls 3 and 4.
Registrations already submitted for EuroCIS 2021 will remain valid. Exhibitors can make a note of their placement requests in the online application, as a new layout has to be planned.
Exhibitors can still register online via the direct link: www.eurocis.com/2330 The official closing date for registration is still 25 September 2020.
Parallel to EuroCIS 2021, the Energy Storage Europe, International Trade Fair for Energy Systems, Solutions, Services, will be held in Hall 1 of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. This is also of interest to the retail branch, as it faces major challenges in this decade, which have been anchored in the German government's climate protection programme and legislation since the fourth quarter of 2019. At Energy Storage, retailers can also obtain information about technical solutions, hardware and software suppliers and funding opportunities for various energy storage systems.
The last EuroCIS in February 2019 was attended by 471 exhibitors from 29 countries on 13,400 m² of net exhibition space. Around 12,000 trade visitors from all five continents came to the Rhine.
