After Dr. Stephan Keller, Mayor of Düsseldorf, and Lei Limin, Chairman of the China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA), signed a cooperation agreement in Shanghai in April 2023, action is now being taken: CIOSH, the successful international trade fair for personal protective equipment in China, is expanding to Southeast Asia. After the premiere of CIOSH Thailand in 2024 further markets are to follow. With this development Messe Düsseldorf is not only opening up the attractive growth market of Southeast Asia to its customers, but is also increasing its leading position in the occupational safety and health sector. This strengthens the world's largest trade fair for the industry A+A in Düsseldorf – and thus the trade fair locations of Düsseldorf and NRW.
Düsseldorf, September 20, 2023. In his function as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Düsseldorf, the Mayor of Düsseldorf, Dr. Stephan Keller, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lei Limin, Chairman of the China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA), during his visit to China in April 2023. The target: to establish new locally oriented events of the China International Occupational Safety & Health Goods Expo (CIOSH) in Southeast Asia. CIOSH Thailand is now the first step in implementing this cooperation agreement: Starting in 2024, the international personal protective equipment exhibition will be held annually in Bangkok. The first edition will take place at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 5 to 7 June 2024.
"My trip to China in the spring gave me a valuable insight into the successful cooperation between Messe Düsseldorf and the CTCA. The partnership proofs Messe Düsseldorf's high international reputation, which benefits the trade fair location of Düsseldorf. Messe Düsseldorf’s trade fair portfolio is growing with locally oriented events in Southeast Asia and will bring even more international guests to our global leading trade fairs in Düsseldorf." says Dr. Stephan Keller, Mayor of the state capital.
