Frankfurt am Main, 15 February 2023 – The new trade fair services provider WISAG Messe Service GmbH started operations on 1 February 2023. It is a joint venture established by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and WISAG Gebäudetechnik Holding GmbH & Co. KG, with a view to making processes even more efficient and customer focused.
With a team of 44 employees WISAG Messe Service provides classic trade fair services such as construction and dismantling in the exhibition halls and coordinates partner companies in providing event technology services. Furthermore, WISAG Messe Service produces custom builds at its in-house carpenter’s shop and supports Messe Düsseldorf’s internal processes by running the mailroom and dispatch. In addition, the in-house printshop of WISAG Messe Service handles print jobs for Messe Düsseldorf and their exhibiting customers.
“WISAG Messe Service GmbH pools an important part of Messe Düsseldorf’s secondary processes in one company turning them into its core business. With this move we want to make processes more efficient thereby ensuring the best service possible at the trade fair location,” says Chris Schmidt, General Manager of WISAG Gebäudetechnik Holding GmbH & Co. KG.
Bernhard J. Stempfle, Managing Director Finance and Infrastructure of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, also regards the shareholding in the new company as an enabler for the flexible and agile management of the cyclical fluctuations typical of trade fairs. “With this joint venture we wish to offer exhibiting companies a comprehensive service, optimise internal and external processes and, of course, secure jobs in the long term,” says Stempfle. He stresses that smooth workflows are also guaranteed for Messe Düsseldorf’s forthcoming events during in the current transition phase. WISAG, he adds, is relied on here as a known and proven partner at the exhibition centre.
WISAG Gebäudetechnik Holding holds 75.1% in the joint venture, Messe Düsseldorf 24.9%.
